The urn with its acanthus collar is a classic form of 18th-century European ceramics. Acanthus, an ancient symbol of immortality, and the shape of the vessel itself speak of an ending and a beginning in one silhouette.

The leaves around the neck resemble phoenix feathers: rebirth not despite the ending, but because of it. A soul that has been through darkness blooms deeper, brighter, stronger than before.

Wisteria carries the same promise. It returns every year, more abundant with time, and stands for endurance, gentle strength, and love that does not pass.

Here, the classical vessel is surrounded by blooming wisteria in muted blush, dusty rose, and warm earthy tones. The result feels somewhere between an antique botanical illustration, a treasured old object, and a contemporary painting.

I imagine this piece in a home filled with natural textures, vintage furniture, books and objects collected over time, somewhere it can feel as though it has always belonged.

The artwork is painted on natural cotton canvas and presented as a soft textile wall hanging, suspended from a light wooden rod. The raw edges of the canvas are left visible on purpose, giving it a relaxed, tactile character that feels closer to textile art than to a traditional framed painting.
